Wow! Who would have dreamt a WC and Basin could cause such a stir?

This crochet covered cardboard and coat-hanger toilet suite
attracted a good deal of attention when they took part in
Yarn Corner's display at the Royal Melbourne Show.

Dactylology? What the....?

Did I say Dactylology? I did. The Beaumaris Art Group have an annual drawing exhibition held in the middle of the year called the Isabella De Soyres Art Awards. I collected used envelopes from the Concourse Shopping Centre's traders and had a go at life drawing using my left hand as a model and a black ball point pen...

Yarn Bombing hits the entire contents of a house including..... a yarn bombed toilet!

Where was I? Knitting, sewing, making collages out of the Good Weekend Age magazine, drawing dactylology..... In other words doing. Here's the latest thing I've been working on, a piece for a display of yarn bombing by Yarn Corner at the 2013 Royal Melbourne Show.

A cold and wintry Saturday

Hi friends,

What am I doing here?

Trying to find a new way of publishing the dolls I design and sew.

Up to now I have relied on the Nini & Wink facebook page to showcase Dolly & friends on the internet. I realise not all my friends can access Facebook so I've decided to make an effort to tackle blogging in order to reach you all.

If you're happy to be patient while I'm leaning the ins and outs of this medium I'll have fun showing you some photos of the evolution of Dolly & friends.
